Vertcoin (VTC) is an open-source and decentralized cryptocurrency and crypto-project as a fork of the P2P Litecoin. It was released as a simple blockchain project on Github without an ICO, airdrop, or a pre-mine. It relies on the Bitcoin codebase and relies on a Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus and uses the VTC ASIC-resistant for mining purposes.
